How to pamper yourself this Mother’s Day

To a Mom, nothing feels as decadent as taking time for yourself. This Mother’s Day why don’t you take some time off and indulge in some pampering? Whether you are a mom to children or even dogs or cats – you deserve it!

  1. Invest in yourself by finding a class or hobby you’ve always wanted to do but never really had the time for. Channel Jamie Oliver and pick a cooking class or tap into your creative side and attend a paint night! If you prefer something solitary, choose some wool and start crocheting a blanket. Whatever it is, make time for something fun that is just yours.

  2. Step away from your phone or laptop and unplug for a bit. Pick a quiet, comfortable place to sit, grab some snacks and a drink and settle in with a book. Whether you choose a thriller or a swoon-worthy romance, whiling away the afternoon getting lost in another world is a wonderful way to take a break from the frantic pace of everyday life.

  3. Book a Spa Day. This is a classic for a reason! Massages, relaxing music, a facial, spending all day in a comfy robe.... need I say more?

  4. Take time out to invigorate your mind and body. Whether you get an endorphin high from a bootcamp class or doing yoga, exercise has been proven to help you focus and release tension and anxiety. Not only that, it also helps reduce blood sugar levels and regulate your blood pressure, so put on your running shoes and get moving!

  5. Refresh your wardrobe. Nothing is more irritating than a closet full of clothes you don’t know how to wear. Book a personal stylist to help you detox and revive your wardrobe. Creating new outfits (or shopping for new ones), is a guaranteed way to boost your confidence and make you feel like a new woman. If you really need some TLC why not do a full glam makeover? The positive impact of new clothes, makeup and a new hairstyle can never be underestimated!

  6. Pamper yourself through positive thoughts. So often we go through the day berating ourselves for something we didn’t do or could have done better. Choose to only think and speak positive thoughts over yourself for a day and feel the difference. Our thoughts are powerful so instead of breaking yourself down, be kind to yourself. Congratulate yourself for anything you do well, no matter how small it is!

  7. Make an everyday event special. Making something you do everyday a little bit more fancy or exciting is such an easy way to pamper yourself! If you normally pick up a coffee on your way to work, why not give it some flair and add cinnamon and chocolate sprinkles on to make it seem more decadent? Or if you normally have a glass of wine in the evening why not run yourself an Epsom salt bath and soak in it for 20 minutes while you drink your wine and listen to a podcast.

However you decide to pamper yourself, we hope you have a happy, love-filled Mother’s Day!
